My Experience With Mania, Bipolar Disorder

This is a video about my manic episode that resulted in hospitalization. I hope it raises awareness on what bipolar disorder can be like. This isn’t the full story. This is only a snippet of what happened. It is very hard to paint an exact picture because when you are manic, so many things are happening all at once. There are many variations to mania, and this was just my experience. I am being very raw and honest in this video. What would the world be like if everyone told the truth? Rawsammi

Stephen Fry The Secret Life Of The Manic Depressive – Part 2

Manic Depression is a disease that’s little talked about and little understood. This program, presented by Stephen Fry, sets out to explore the highs and the lows and the causes and treatments of a condition that may affect as many as six percent of the population. Motivated by his own personal battle, the program follows Stephen Fry on an emotional journey that takes him to the homes of stars such as Carrie Fisher, Richard Dreyfuss and Rick Stein, into the lives of ordinary people who juggle this illness with their working lives and into the surgeries of psychiatrists and the lab of researchers who are trying to help control the condition. This film is often used by those suffering from Bipolar Disorder or Manic Depression to inform their acquaintances about the illness. If you do not actually own a copy of the DVD please order one at Amazon.co.uk of at your preferred supplier. Making a Killing: The Untold Story of Psychotropic Drugging – Full Movie (Documentary)

This video provides the facts about psychotropic drugs and the huge profits they create for the pharmaceutical industry. These drugs are not safe and have not been on the market long enough to provide sufficient long term studies regarding their effects. These drugs do cause addiction, however most “doctors” would call this dependence because you do not have to take an increasing dose over time. They are completely fine with you being addicted to the same amount of any given medication on a daily basis. Over half of the people that commit suicide in the United States are prescribed to psychotropic medications. (Ex: Paxil (Paroxetine), Zoloft (Sertraline), Prozac, Wellbutrin (Bupropion), Effexor, Seroquil, Ultram (Tramadol), etc.)

Bipolar IN Order – From Freedom To Self-Mastery

This video is the conclusion of the “Shocking Truth” video about bipolar disorder. If you already seen “Shocking Truth” you can skip to 3:15. The end of that video and the beginning of this one overlap. If you have not seen it you can go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qe1SFt… and start from there. Beyond Recovery, we enter the Freedom Stage where we begin to break free of the cycle of Crisis and Recovery. From there we graduate to Stability Stage and eventually achieve Self-Mastery. It will take slow and careful work with some set backs, but we will find ourselves comfortable and in control while experiencing increased flow of energy and information. States that previously created great disturbance and needed some form of intervention in the Managed Stage are now within our comfort zone. Real Stability means to maintain control in an ever wider range of experience. Some of us can even achieve stability across the entire range of the bipolar condition and live an extraordinary life. Self-Mastery is when we choose how to react to every stimulus. The stimulus can be internal or external, real or not, but the important thing is that we can make a conscious choice about how to act.

What Borderline Personality Disorder feels like…(TRIGGER)

Please Note: If you feel like you can relate to this video, please do not self diagnose yourself. In order to find out if you have BPD it is necessary to see a professional therapist. The song is “My Skin”, by Natalie Merchant Dedicated to those that suffer from BPD and those who wish to understand it better. This is the very first You Tube video I made. I was debating on whether or not to put this on because it was so depressing. I didn’t want to contribute to any further suffering, but after watching a video about how someone feels that has BPD, I felt like I could relate so much that I had to create my own video in hopes that other people might find something in it to relate to and not feel so alone.
